I Know How To Do That

It came to me as I was on an app called GroupMe with a group I’m in called, The Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. (GroupMe is an app where a whole lot of people can chat in a text thread.) A notice was posted for an upcoming meeting. I remembered one of the group leaders saying she didn’t always see the app or know if there were messages in it. I wondered how many people in the group would see the notice.

Life click! I Know How To Do That! I could help the group see their notifications and the app better. 

Then the negative thoughts came in. That will take some time. I’ll need to go into the phone settings and write the steps. What are those notification numbers called? Will the ladies even see the explanation before the meeting is past? 

“Ok, I had the thought, I’m going to do it!” 

I wrote down the steps on a piece of paper before writing the post in GroupMe. I read the post several times for mistakes. Here’s is what I said:

“If you can’t tell if you have messages in the GroupMe app and forget to check, here is what you can do: 

Go to the settings app on your phone, press that, scroll down to apps and press that, scroll down to the GroupMe app and press that, scroll down to notifications and press that. Toggle ALLOW NOTIFICATIONS to on. You may or may not want banners or sound, but the important one is BADGES!  Badges show you how many messages wait inside the app. YOU WANT BADGES ON! Done! I like to move my GroupMe app next to my messages app on my phone face. Then I see them! Hope that helps!”

It made me smile. I hoped it helped. No one commented on it, but it made me happy! I’m still happy about it!
